Tell you what, I was at the pool in Provincetown last Saturday, and some guy brought his laptop with him. :P It was none of my business, so I kept my mouth shut, but I thought to myself, "Dude! Give it a break! You're on vacation!"
(He was with someone who appeared to be his partner, so I assume he wasn't looking on line for a date. Unless he was looking on line for a date for them to share. ...)

Is that one of those gay detective novels that they make into movies with Chad Allen, the kid from Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman who grew up to be gay? Or is it something else?

It's a mystery, it has a police detective and yes, he's gay. But it hasn't been made into a movie--yet!--and I'm not sure Chad Allen would be the right type.
