And it's that bad you can smell the onions throughout the whole village on some days (depending on the wind). Sometimes you open a window to let fresh air in, and you instantly get hungry because the air smells so much like onions .

Mmmm....  Onions. ... I love onions!  :D

I love onions, shallots and garlic... I think I really like strong flavors in general.

Probably. But nobody cares, since we don't notice it ;D

We have lots of wild onions around here. Sometimes when I'm driving out in the country I can smell them in the air. And lots of people don't know it, but Indiana is watermelon country. Watermelons and many different kinds of cantaloupes too. We have huge fields of them, as far as the eye can see in every direction. And during this time of the year when they are ready to be picked, you can smell the watermelon and cantaloupes in the air. The air smells sweet with the scent of melons.

Right now the farmers are beginning to harvest them, and there are many road side stands where you can buy them fresh off the vine. And the price is much lower too because you're buying them directly from the farmer, there by cutting out the middle man and the grocery store mark-ups. :)
