And if I had gotten 1 euro for every time her name got mentioned in our family, I probably could get her a new bridle already. :)

Well, the average is between 25 to 30 years old. The owner who gave her to me said that if I looked after her well and barring any diseases, I should be able to ride her for another 5 years. She's got good genes, her mother lived till she was 32 which is really old for a horse. The owner told me he thought she was still too good to retire and she loves riding. So that's what I'm going to do.
