Hey Chrissi! I have a question for you. I have this little wooden thing, and I think it's from Germany or Austria. It's a little wooden plank, and over to one side there's a door with a string. When you pull it the door opens. Now I can figure out a little of what it says from my limited knowledge of Dutch, but most of it I cannot read. I was wondering if you would translate it for me. Because I have no idea what this thing is. I'm not sure how to put the dots on top of some of the letters, so I hope you can still translate it.
Over on the right side (the flat side) it says: Alle Anderen Herzlich Willkommen Bei.
Then, on the lid part (over on the left side) it says: Zieh Leine
Then when you pull the string, the little lid opens and it says this:
Folgende Personen sind hier unerwunscht und sollten besser >>Leine ziehen<<
* Gerichtsvollzieher und Steurerprufer
* Privatdetektive und sonstige Schnuffler
* Erbschleicher Mitgiftjager und Heiratsschwindler
* Lastige Schwiegermutter
* SchweiBfuBler mit Mundgeruch
* Staubsaugervertreter ohne Beutel

I'm guessing it's meant to be hung on a wall because there is a nail hole on each corner. :D

It's one of those useless, tacky little things which are supposed to be fun. You don't hang it on a wall, but on a door. The right side says "All others are welcome to [insert your name]"
On the lid it says "F*ck off"
Under the lid it says "The following people are not welcome here and better f*ck off:
[then follows a a listing of unwanted persons]
- marshals and tax auditors
- legacy hunters, fortune hunters and marriage swindlers
- obnoxious mothers-in-law
- people with sweaty feet and bad breath
- door-to-door salesmen for vacuum cleaners, if they don't have a sack [kind of a German pun]
You read it from left to ride: "F*ck of in case you're one of those people (followed by the listing) ..... All others are welcome to [David's] home"
It's a tasteless welcome sign for the door :laugh:
