Yes, the home office! Although now the table has the tablecloth I bought in Belgium covering it. Fabienne, btw, it looks great!

And now we have...

Unpacking, Hannah-style

1. Go into the shed where your suitcase is sitting from the night before.
2. Open the zipper pockets and remove all souvenirs.
3. Wheel suitcase into the bedroom and place it next to the hamper (still zippered).
4. Go upstairs to watch a movie.
5. When mom calls up the stairs, "Have you unpacked?" answer, "Everything in the suitcase is dirty."

Sigh....

She's a lucky girl, and you're a generous mom, if "sigh" means you did her laundry for her.  Now that I'm a mom, I realize what a gift it is to receive services like that from others.  Before I was the one who gave, gave, gave, I took a lot of receiving for granted.  Now I'm so frigging grateful for any service kindness I get.  I'm a much bigger tipper in restaurants for example.

Yes, my husband and I did the laundry....

Rainy day here and Hurricane Kyle is coming through. We are not supposed to get hit but we are expecting lots of rain. Still warm: 63 degrees. Good day to hunker down inside with a good book.

LOL that used to be pretty much what my  3 kids plus husband did. Now what I do, is on the last day of any holiday I make them give me all their dirty clothes which go in a plastic bag(s) in a hold all and that is the only bit I take care of. I got so annoyed that after the hols. I would spend the next few days washing etc, that I put my foot down.

So far so good. It i sonly a small victory but it makes me feel less put on and also they now know mum means business for a change, instead of my usaul half carried out threats.!!!

Meryl:
So Leslie, were you up all night checking for damn Kyle?  ;D
