--- Quote from: optom3 on October 28, 2008, 08:18:42 pm ---It's even come to Florida, 51 degs this a.m. !!!!! Not a happy bunny. The register at work completely threw me as I knew it would. I sit there with all my fancy schmancy degrees and I can't get to grips with a till!!!!
I was so slow, things actually scanned twice. I still get the nickels and dimes muddled up.Then when I have to weigh something as well, well Lordy, lordy. I don't even recognise half the produce we sell. As for which things have tax and which don't ????? !!!!!
I have a feeling this is not something I am going to master in a couple of days. I have never said sorry so many times in one day, and I already say it quite frequently.
Tomorrow can only get better, except boo hoo now I am getting a cold as well.
It has been a real eye opener, there are bits of animals we sell, which quite frankly, I think even my dogs would turn their noses up at !! The phrase you can eat all of the pig apart from its squeak is obviously true, pork butts, I ask you !!!!!

Hey Fiona, don't give up, but you might want to practice when you don't have an actual customer standing there.

Chitlins are good too. But you must make sure you clean them thoroughly and cook them properly or else the smell will run you out of the house. Well, the smell may run you out of the house anyway (Whew!!) but it's even worse if it's not done correctly. :P
They sure do taste good with turnip greens though! :D

Good morning everyone!

Morning everyone,
39 degrees and partly cloudy today. We had rain and more rain yesterday and now the colder weather has moved in.
Snow in NJ? Yikes! Nothing like that here, thank God!
