I like to learn at least a new word every day, no matter which language since
in a way: no language exist as unique, you know!
May I wonder where that word avatar originates from,
which language(s) or imageries or cultures ???

And your avatar can change like mine has so many times. By the way I like your new avatar too Lynne.
The first time I ever heard of an avatar was actually on the show "Port Charles" but in this case the avatar was a monster type person dressed in a big hooded jacket. I sure do miss that show :( Here is what that avatar looked like:
