Lee, enjoy the white stuff!  I'm in Chicago for a brief moment, and it's rainy here.
David, your fellow TSA guys at Newark Airport get a thumbs up from me.  Yesterday, as I got to the front of the curbside check-in line, I was told I was at the wrong terminal!  That's the last time I trust the limo driver to know what's what.   I was right at the 30-minute limit for baggage check, and I was sure I'd miss my flight.  But two TSA guys calmly directed me to the right place, and the Continental staff shot my bags down to the plane, and I made it.  Whew!

Thanks for the packing tips, too. In the end,  I decided to pack any liquids in the checked baggage, but I made sure to wear shoes that I could slip on and off, as well as socks!  It would be great if you would start a separate thread with advice for flyers.  At this time of year especially, it would be a great boon!
