Here I am, #9 in the Top 11, sitting up at the impossible hour of 3:30 a.m. Pacific, only because I can't sleep anymore after travelling 8 time zones!

it's 57 degrees and warming, and promises to be a pleasant 73% today.  In Pleasanton.  And I have a day to myself to just write, go acquire some food, and maybe take some photos of the absolutely parched landscape.  After lush tropical rain-forest Britain, everything here looks desert.

A front came through yesterday, clearing out the hazy, hot, humid weather and leaving us with an absolutely glorious day. 65 degrees right now with a light breeze. Clear blue sky. Just lovely!

Thanks for the traveller's update, David. Sigh..more rules, more confusion.

On my recent trip to LV, I had my quart-sized baggie with shampoo, etc., and when I pulled it out, each time the TSA person said, "Ah, perfect." Which makes me think alot of travelers haven't figured out this requirement yet, even though it has been a year.

What do you do to de-stress when you get off work? Dealing with the traveling public looks like a very stress-inducing, frustration-causing job! Some people can be so dense. I'm sure it's hard to keep from calling them names.  LOL   I know I'd want to!

It is not raining here although the sky is grey, not blue. 68 degrees...it is nice without the humidity!

Okay.  I was on my way to California.  Sunny. Dry.  right?

Wrong.  I have no coats, I have no umbrella.  And - it's raining.  Photos later.

But my course is underway and they promise actual installation hands on experience, and it gladdens my heart.  No dry theory... actual INSTALLATION.  Thank goodness.  (Yes, I'm babbling.)

And I found the restaurants on the map!  No more starvation.

A word on TSA and people obeying the rules... the security at Heathrow ran like clockwork as I was heading out Saturday morning. I didn't see a single person freaking out about their liquids, because they had several stations with staging areas and people clucking their tongues prompting them to organize their liquids, BEFORE they were allowed into the security line.  Either this, or the British are generally more obedient.


I expect to see the freaking-out Americans when I get to SFO on Friday! heheh.

Morning all,

65 degrees and grey sky again today. We did have rain yesterday--pouring, pouring torrential downpours with lots of thunder and lightning. 2.29 inches of rain in just a matter of hours!

Today it is supposed to clear up and be sunny. Let's hope!

We're going to be pushing the century mark today.
The humidity was at 58% this morning and should go up as the day progresses!
