Not Lee, but I remember. It was just out of Ten Sleep, on a golf course.
That's correct, Chrissi. You are some thinker there! (Excuse me while I grab my floating away bucket) This was just north of Ten Sleep off of the Sweet 16 Highway that goes up into the Big Horns, past Brokenback to Meadowlark Lake and eventually Buffalo.
Oddly, all the cabins were moved away last time I visited to lay Rodney's ashes to rest. We inquired about it and found out from Cathy at Dirty Sally's (aka Linda Higgins) that the owners moved the cabins to Montana or Idaho where they have another hotel. Ten Sleep is definitely ripe for some more development!
The butte in the background is not Signal Butte; that one is on the west side of Ten Sleep. It's a very nice butte though. We should name it, anyone have an idea?
One evening I sat on the porch of one of those cabins and watched the owners play a quick round of golf. The course was rough and muggy, swarms of little flies danced in the afternoon light, and crickets kept up a loud symphonic chorus. Wyoming and golf? I would restrict it to Jackson and the other side of the Snake River, myself.
