Iris DeMent is the youngest of 13 chillins from Arkansas (I think that is right) her father was an excellent fiddle player who put the fiddle up once he joined the church because he was told it was the instrument of the devil. She never heard him play.

Well folksies, today is a new day, and i am bound to have the new way. I got a call from a
friend, telling me we were still on a good plain and that it is all good. So that is how I choose to
feel from now on. The sad and woefilled time of the recent past, is past now. I am choosing to
move on.

Thank you Truman , you are a doll to come and fix that. My computer or my internet or some
thing wont let me do vids anymore. I guess i have to take it to the puter hospital and have its
computer appendix removed. It seems to have a puter belly ache.

Lord god almighty what a mournful song. I think that whoever had told her father he was
a sinner for playing a fiddle is paying in spiritual depths for that stupid remark. I cannot fathom at
so many of the things that people have done. In the name of god. If god was truly that kind of
a god. He would be a god unworthy of praise. Why is it. What makes people of certain religions
want to take, or sap, every last bit of joy from the life of others.
Wouldnt you think a god would want his children to be joyful. Happy, and enjoy all the fruits
of his and their labors. To sing and dance, and praise life. To shout to the heaven how wonderful
life is, or can be. I always wonder.
Thank you darlin. I loved that. Her lovely vibrato voice is a thing to behold.
