St. Nicholas is considered the religious Bishop whose name was westernized to Santa Claus.
Keeps religion out of the picture for Jews, Muslims, etc., who might still want to celebrate the Winter Solstice in some way.

There was an very interesting Tv show documentary last night that I watch and I was surprised !
Nicholas bones are thought to be maybe in two places in Italy?
But Nicholas was not from Pays Bas (Holland originally), but from Persia (?) maybe as I missed the start
of that program.
Wealthy do not usually give to poor, so why did Nicholas, because his parents dies when he was young was it?
