The Advocate is reporting the upcoming work a little differently:

BTW, has anyone read Lonesome Dove?  I am trying right now....I've had the book two weeks and am only maybe 1/5th into it...it's terrific but so dense.

You will LOVE Lonesome Dove.  It has a slow start as you get introduced to the major characters, but keep at it.  I remember very well that soon you'll come to a certain page and from then on, it's "Whoa!" you won't want to put it down.

I'm actually JEALOUS that you're reading it for your first time....

And I'm a complete Lonesome Dove virgin - never had the opportunity to see the movie either :-)
