(1/1)
Lynne:
It looks as if Vermont is interested in honoring BBM by christening a heretofore unnamed peak in the Green Mountains...

What do y'all think about this idea?

Here is the site with the online petition: www.brokebackmountainvermont.com
It's amazing the silly news article left out probably that most important point!
Impish:
I wish Wyoming would do this also, in honor of Matthew Sheppard.
What a nice way to tell the world that the majority of people in Wyoming do not identify with gay-bashers.

Wyoming state government is very backwards. In a few federal surveys, one state often never replied at all - that was Wyoming. I'm still surprised they managed to put together a tourist campaign referencing the movie!

Things are going well with the effort. Receiving lots of email and signatures on the petition but very little offers of assistance with the project. We're looking for people to lend their bodies to make this happen as we need a "Mountain Investigation Team" and people to do research, etc.
If anyone wants to help, please email me at [email protected]
