In the first moment, I stumbled about that, too. ;D
But the interview took place in July 2007 and David Trimble spoke of "August last year" - that would be August 2006.

Oh, I thought it was brand new. Thanks Chrissi. :)

I went "hmmmm" about that remark as well, but you're right; it isn't as recent as it seems at first reading.
It takes a while to get these interviews ready to use. It's a lot of words to transcribe from the tape recordings and we like to stretch it out and not dump all the new stuff on FB at one time!
(Thank you, to those of you who have been quoting bits and pieces of this elsewhere, for putting the link to FB when you did.)
Meryl:
Lauren, that's a superb interview. Thanks so much for the link. I didn't realize you had seen our Basque during the Pilgrimage last summer! I wish we could have had him come to a dinner. We could have mobbed him! ;D
I certainly would have had difficulty recognizing him as the Basque if I'd just met him on the street. The mustache and the tanning make a big difference.

I'm happy that everyone is enjoying the interview. I've let Jim and Barry know.
I wish that I had had everything set up last summer before the July trip, but we were still trying to make contact with all of the people we interviewed until just before we left or, in a couple of cases, after we got up there. That is one of the biggest reasons that I didn't say anything when the discussion started about trying to meet someone who had been involved in the movie. I had nothing definite to go on for anyone at that time.
