Let's just say that there coulda been a nail polish explosion at his cabin in the mountains, even though he has never taken a woman there!!

Curious minds want to know, LGigs! Did Chuck solvent your problem????

LauraGigs:
Yes, I talked with good old Chuck (who by the way is the coolest, for those of yall who haven't met him yet).

Anyhoo, he spoke with a friend of his who's a long-time housecleaning pro, and she echoed what you said, Optom3, about the acetone-free polish remover!  So I high-tailed it and got some, along with other miscellaneous equipment.

So, recipe for disaster mitigation (in case yall ever happen to have a nail polish explosion):

Countertops:  Razor-blade stripper tool, and/or steel wool.  Pretty easy.
Fridge: Razor blade to delicately strip top layer of polish, then the non-acetone remover.
Cabinetry/floors: Same thing.
Formica paneling: Non-acetone remover.
Walls:  This is the stumper; will probably take repainting.

Oh well, can't win em all.   :P  Thanks for all the concern and great suggestions, everybody!

In a way, you were lucky !

A similar event happened to me lately, but I could have lost my life !
I had loaned a Made in China battery charger and I did not know that the battery I was charging was also Made in China !! So I charged and left the garage closing the door. But when I went inside the house, I heard much later an explosion. The battery and charger had exploded ! There were pieces of the battery all over the place, and acid drops on many, many objects !

Was I lucky that it had not exploded in my face and burn me ?

I guess that your product has some acid to it too ?

Au revoir,
hugs!
