I saw BBM for the first time on December 27th. I had a life before that. Now...

Things I have given up since seeing BBM

1. Cooking
2. Going to the grocery store (actually, most all sorts of shopping, to be honest)
3. Reading the newspaper
4. Watching TV (never watched much, but I have been cured of my apprentice addiction)
5. Balancing the checkbook
6. Exercising
7. Sleeping much less (down to 5 hours a night from 8)

Things I do, sorta...

1. Eat (when someone puts food in front of me. See no. 1 and 2, above)
2. Pay the bills (also difficult, see no. 5, above)
3. Work
4. Talk to my family

Things I do with gusto and passion

1. Write fanfic
2. Read fanfic
3. Hang out on the bettermost board (since 3/30; prior to that it was IMDb. Same thing)
4. Hang out in the bettermost chat
5. Scour the Internet for pictures of Heath Ledger
6. Scour the Internet for articles about Heath Ledger
7. Scour the Internet for anything else related to bbm
8. Have sex with my husband

No. 8 is the only reason my husband hasn't divorced me...

I actually do still go to the grocery store - have to, 'cause I'm the only one around here capable of it, apparently.  ::)

And I do still exercise.  But, tell ya what.  The truth is... I've been working out like a maniac lately mostly because I'm inspired to look my best in a couple of weeks.  Meetin up with some good, old friends, dontcha know.

But what don't I do since BBM that I used to?

1) Tolerate mediocre movies.  If they don't pull me in in the first 15 minutes, I turn 'em off and send 'em back (to Netflix, that is).

2) Watch very many other movies at all unless I know they're gonna pull me in in the first 15 minutes.  (I couldn't watch any other movie for the first two months.  Since then, it's still been slow going.)

3) Hear any love song on the radio and not relate it in some way to BBM.  If it's something I just can't possibly relate to it (but that's rare), I turn it off.

4) Have any kind of lengthy conversation about anything that I don't segue somehow, some way, into BBM.

Aw, Brokeback.  Why don't you just let me be, hunh?
