I can add a bit to our history:
Only a few weeks later, the paranoia had abated a good deal and links to BM were opendly posted on IMDB.
I came to the BBM board in late March 06, only a few days before the big exodus.
After not even four weeks, I couldn't stand the IMDB board anymore and was looking for alternatives. I found a link to BM posted on IMDB, as well as links to DCF. Tried both forums one afternoon and decided for BM. That's how come me to end up here :).
