I am in Speedway for the weekend. My nephew is watching Dad for me. They threw a small surprise party and now we are watching scary movies on TV. Halloween sometimes comes a bit early at my house! :laugh:

David, did you grow up in Speedway? I did my student teaching at an elementary school there in 1971. You would have been nine then. OMG, what if you were in my class? :D

Hi Meryl! No I was born on the southside (Beech Grove) and grew up on the northeast side. I attended Catholic school through the middle of sixth grade (St. Matthew's) and then switched over to the public school system - Skiles Test Elementary for the second semester of sixth grade, then Belzer Jr. High and Lawrence Central High School, all on the northeast side of town.
But that is really cool how you taught in Speedway. My house is very close to Georgetown Road, if that rings any bells for you. :)
