((Alma looks up at Ennis, sees him looking off in the distance, a strange look on his face.))

**Who's Jack Twist? Someone ya know?**

**I hope I got the little marky things right.**

YOUNG ENNIS:

Uh, um... thought it was someone I used to know, but it's not.

(( Ennis puts his head down in shame.  He doesn't want to have to explain to Alma, or have her and Jack meet.  He knows he can't go to him.  He needs to just walk away. 
He takes Alma's arm and pulls her away from the crowd.))

Ann:
ALMA:

((looks back over her shoulder at the crowd, doesn't see too many people she recognizes))

** Are you sure? Maybe it was someone you knew. We should go see.**

((Alma gently guides Ennis back towards the crowd.))

DeeDee:
YOUNG ENNIS:

((Ennis pull Alma back.))

ALMA! STOP IT!

%% I need ta stop her.  She can't meet 'em.%%

((Ennis sees the bruised look on her face, and suddenly regets his outbursts.))

Look, I tol' you, it's not who I thought it t'was.. leave it alone.

Daniel:
YOUNG JACK:

((At Ennis's raised voice, Jack turns to look for him.))

((Jack sees Ennis drag Alma away from the crowd. Should he say something... More than a few people were distracted by the commotion.))
