~~THE PERFORMANCE THREAD~~ **aside** ((action)) %%thought%%
DeeDee:
Young Ennis
%% His mama? I ain't meetin' no one's mama. I bet he has his mama's eyes. Would llike to see her at least. Bet she's pretty%%
Tried to ride the bulls, but it takes money, which I hardly ever have, beein' I'm gettin' married an all. Them entry fees can wipe a fella out.
((Shifts uncomfortably))
Daniel:
YOUNG JACK:
((nods))
Ain't that the truth.
((notices the day moving on.))
We'd best get some rest if we're to get all our gear right in the morning. We're going up to the dropoff point.
((looks over at Ennis))
I got some blankets in the back of my truck so we've got a place to sleep tonight.
((puts his bottle of beer down and moves away from the bar, heading toward the door.))
** And here, friends, in displayed honor.
We depart your world for a realm of dream.
What is here we let your own minds ponder,
For tired we are of playing this scene.
As fanciful as it might seem to be,
As lusty or as sensual,
Best left to what the mind can see,
instead of what is actual.
But for the film's sake.
The story as it is:
We consider this final take
A sweet good night's kiss.
**
Daniel:
** Mr. Raymille. Your actors have worked a long and hard day and we are now resting until the next scene. If it meets with your approval, we'd like the next scene to be a musical number since there are so many actors on screen. It could be smashing: dancing sheep, prancing fillies, dogs, jeans, basques, Aguirre, Jack, Ennis, wind, grass, cigarettes, ( I hope I'm not leaving anything out), but you get the picture. Just an idea, thrown out for you to consider. **
