(( Gets out of bed and tip-toes uneasily to the window, looking out into the night ))
** Well, I've never....... **
(( Watches as a big bird of prey glides on silent wings through the night, hooting once as it goes, its dark shape outlined against the skies' blackness by the flickering lights from..... ))
WOW!!!
** Every natural phenomenon - all at once! Spooky! And all of it centering on that dilapidated old motel at the outskirts of town? ??? **
(( Shudders slightly in the cold draft from the window))
%% I must be asleep still, and dreaming. I'll be seeing soap bubble men floating by next! Alma, doing cartwheels and handstands dressed in silk and feathers! Better get myself back into bed pronto! %%
(( Hurries back under the warm quilt. Closes eyed determinedly))
