((Sniffs the air suspiciously. Rises from her throne armchair.))
**Did someone just say "off script"?**
Daniel:
LAUREL SPARTA:
((Laurel makes her way to the balcony overlooking the Riverton set. She looks at the bird on her staff, Diablo, the Sound Editor.))
**Fly, Diablo, fly. Find out who's trying to destroy my comic tragedy.**
DIABLO (Sound Editor):
((The bird's mouth opens and a radio voice emerges.))
**Okay, Miss Sparta. Sure thing.**
((The bird takes off towards the Riverton set.))
Mikaela:
MONROE:
(( Worrying what he's gotten himself into. ))
You can just call me Monroe. That's fine.
((Eyes car door and realizes the car's going much too fast for anyone to make a hasty retreat ))
Uhm.... I didn't do anything to him, I don't think. I think he did it all himself, mostly. 'Fraid so. But......
(( Blurts it out ))
I'm going to propose to Alma. I love her. He'll be sore as all hell when he hears, I'm sure..
(( Realizes what he just heard))
What? You're going to get Alma too ?!?
(( Stares, worries some more, then relaxes and gives in to fate or coincidence or life's utter strangeness and unpredictability))
Sure enough, Jack.... Mr. Twist, I mean. Alma's at the old apartment above the laundromat, do you know where that is? Ever been there?
Daniel:
JACK:
((Jack realizes he's headin' towards the grocery. Considers doing a 360, but with Monroe clinging onto the door handle like that, he guesses he'd better not.))
**Fine... Is there anyone at the grocery that we can pick up? Maybe 'nother employee'r somethin'??**
Mikaela:
MONROE:
(( Sheepishly lets go of door handle, leans back while watching Riverton fly by, and starts humming to the car radio. ))

You're a real good driver, Jack. Nice car you've got, too. I bet you drive a lot.
(( Continues humming, feeling drowsy all of a sudden ))
