((lies down on the ground, tired from the day but not yet sleepy. The night is peaceful and quiet. Even the dogs are calm. One SHEEPHERDING DOG nestles up beside JACK and looks out over the flock. JACK lazily strokes the dog's head and ears, leaning back and looking up at the sky.))

((With a gaze of lazy concentration, Jack lays his head on a napsack and looks at the sky. He presses his tongue against his lower lip in a soothing movement, letting the memories of the day ease him into a peaceful moment.))
