ENNIS:

Feels a hot blush, then stinging tears rise.  No. Can't let Jack see that.   Blinks it back. Breathes deeply a few times.

Mystified and dumbfounded at the sudden rejection.   Just offered him everything I can!  He never acts like this.  Something ain't right — gotta make it better. Gotta try.

Puts shirt and jacket on. Quietly steps outside the tent to Jack.

Carefully lays a hand on either shoulder. Rubs gently, pressing soft pads of thumbs and fingers into the tight spots.

Leans in a bit closer, breath brushing Jack's ear.  You alright, cowboy?  Hmmmm?

Daniel:
JACK:

((Not wanting to face the isolated pain of rejection once again, Jack remains silent as he zips up his parker.))

** Com'on, Ennis, lets get some food and get a move on... Only so many hours in the day, ya know.**

((Jack can't help but pull into his more sullen self, all too aware of the little time they have left.))

coffeecat33:
Empress of Everything

((Peeks in from behind her statuesque statue.))

%%Is the sex scene over?%%

Mikaela:
YET ANOTHER RANDOM AUDIENCE MEMBER:

(( Has waited for, rooted for - and stared expectantly and worriedly at -the two men on center stage for a veeery long time. ))

(( Ennis and Jack seem frozen in mid-motion. Where will they go from here? Who will make a move, however small? Who will blink first? An air of undecided fate, destiny in the balance looms over them all.... ))

Sheet! These scenes far from civilization are hard! Augh! Gargle!

(( Collapses from hunger, dehydration and hypothermia ))

Aughargle!
