I am so with you re: banana sandwiches. Banana sandwiches with brown sugar was the main stay afternoon tea when I was growing up. Now I am all grown up I am allowed to use a toaster, I toast bread, spread it with loads of honey then mashed bananas on top..yum
Breakfast 4 or was 5 coffees
Lunch was cheese vienna bread toast sliced with hummus
Dinner steak stir fried with green onions, oregano and soy sauce (my
own recipe too) and chinese flavoured rice risotto.
Supper Bread again, marmite sandwiches with chicken crisps
I know this sounds weird but from my flatmates 20 years ago introduced me to this, but does any one have cheese on toast sprinkled with sugar?? place it under the grill and the sugar caramelises.

No! I'm afraid not! At least not in these parts. But I'm willing to try it if it's good. What kind of cheese and how much sugar?
Katie77:
That cheese and sugar sounds nice Matt.....I like the cheese sweetened with jam so I will probably enjoy it with sugar too.
We went to the pub for tea tonight, they have great meals there.
I had crumbed steak and vegies.......its a large meal, tender crumbed steak with gravy, potatoes, pumpkin (mashed) and carrots and beans, and a slice of bread and butter..........cost.....$7.oo
(now why would I bother cooking)
