1. What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before?
I became involved in a U.S. Presidential election for the first time ever, by drawing 30 satirical cartoons and posting them here at BetterMost and also at my Webshots website.
2. Did you keep your New Years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Didn't make any.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.
5. What countries did you visit?
None.
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
I'm content as I am.
7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
September 5. Ain't sayin' why!
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Retaining my dignity.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Can't think of anything.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
No.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
A beautiful set of colour pencils.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
No-one in particular stands out.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
No-one comes to mind.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Bank account, retirement fund, cost of living.

Having quality "me" time.

Would have liked to have done more walking.

I probably need to spend a little less time on-line.

With friends.

Antiques Roadshow, Law & Order SVU, The Bill, Inspector Rex.

None.
28. What did you want and get?
Peace of mind.

Nothing. I'm quite content.

I was 59 last month. Various celebrations.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Eighty-two million dollars!

Work - Dark suits, pastel business shirts, silk ties, black shoes. Casual - Jeans, polo shirts, Nikes.
34. What kept you sane?
Meditation.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Christopher Meloni.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Not "stirred" exactly, but the U.S. Presidential election certainly did grab my attention.

My parents.

No-one stands out.

Become politically active! (Canvassed my neighborhood + worked in a campaign office.)

If I made any resolutions, I don't remember... so I don't know that it'll do any good!

Yes, a former work colleague. Didn't think I would have been so affected by it, but I was.

No other countries, which is lame!

A good full-time job!

Overcoming my shyness to canvass my neighborhood, etc.

Hanging out online when I should be doing other stuff (Damn you Bettermost...)

No. I should remember to be thankful for that.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Cool thrift-store clothes!

John McCain, when he publicly corrected a supporter's statements about his opponent, and when he gave his gracious concession speech.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Sarah Palin, and her brashness coupled with appalling ignorance
14. Where did most of your money go?
Everyday bills — didn't really spend much otherwise.
15.What made you really really really excited?
• Getting to "play out" on violin after being out-of-practice
• Getting a great contract job during which I gained some major new skills!
• The election
• Meeting Meryl + Mikaela, and seeing Elle + Lynne in Seattle
• The Dark Knight — and anticipating Heath's win of a posthumous Oscar
16.What song will forever remind you of 2008?
Don't know — don't listen to much contemporary music (gosh that makes me sound OLD. I did hear that I Kissed A Girl song once, actually while driving to Elle's house! LOL)
