3 (Strangely, the olives and Meryl's martini are separate....)
4 (...and Meryl wonders why John is eating all the olives....)
5 (Graceful segue here: 'Nice ceiling beams they have, don't you think?')
6 (Disgustedly, the nice waiter snatches the iPhone away from a mortified John and takes the one decent photo.
Meryl's Moussaka wins, Amanda's grilled cheese appetizer lovely, Mahi Mahi healthy. Plataforma coming soon!)
7 (An artful dessert: 'Rice Pudding and Cappucccino' by Wayne Thiebaud)
8 (Look deeply into the rice pudding...deep....)
Urp!

I knew I shouldn't have shoved that piece of bread in my mouth before the waiter took the picture. ::)

But so gracefully, Meryl!
Thank you (and to Amanda!) for a lovely afternoon--so civilized--as always!
:)

Hi John! Thanks for these wonderful pictures! Even though some of them are a little out of focus... I think they're very nice. It's always a good thing to document lovely Brokie get-togethers. I'm so happy that our luncheon worked out. It really was civilized! It was great to sit down in the middle of the day and have a nice glass of wine and a thee course meal. And, of course just having the chance to see both of you was the real treat.
The restaurant was a nice pick! I loved my sheep's milk grilled cheese salad... very unique and very tasty. And, LOL it's so great that I ate sheep's milk for my appetizer and you had bean soup... so Brokeback appropriate!
I'm sorry that Meryl and I didn't get snapshots of our vegetarian dinner from the night before. So, it's a great treat to have these lunch pics for the memory books.

*I guess!
(And I guess I need to buy a camera instead of,
you know, a phone. )
But it really was a lovely afternoon, thanks to you and Meryl!
;D
