The letter "Z": ZED OR ZEE?!
dmmb_Mandy:
I've discussed this with a few people recently. I say zed, but it's Canadian thing, I reckon. But I'm fairly certain that other countries use it too. I need some answers. Back me up people! :)
Front-Ranger:
I'm not sure how to answer this. It's zed in Canada and Britain, probably in Australia too (the "King's Empire") but it's zee in the U.S. Can you add a "both" option?
Penthesilea:
As a non-native English speaker, I voted for "zed". That's what I learned at school. I guess most people who learn English as a second (or third...) language, learn British English and therefore "zed".
starboardlight:
i believe it's also "zed" in French. And most of Asia learn it as "zed".
dmmb_Mandy:
Yup, it's "zed" in French. Sorry my American friends (who laughed at my "zed") but it looks like "zed" has got quite a case. ;)
