--- Quote from: Berit on December 10, 2011, 08:03:42 pm ---I voted one other show also. Different western, first and most important Bonanza but also Rawhide. My dad loved westerns and dreamt about going to America to see "the real stuff". For men in his generations the US often was the great dream. My dad was born in 1919 and he spent most of his young adulthood as a soldier guarding the frontier to Norway....and the Nazis. US was the land of free. Sadly he never got to go.

He really loved his western and since we just had one channel we saw the western also, mom and me. When the phone rang we lied and said that he was unable to answer.... ::)....

My big favourite was My favourite Martian. I have it on DVD, feel like a child again!!

I remember that one Berit! I loved it too!

Ray Walston and Bill Bixby were wonderful in that series!

I loved all the different characters as well.

The history of Iraq and Iran, as per Mr Peabody and Sherman

Their whole list of not ready for prime time players.  That was a wonderful show for kids.
Unlike most of the cartoon shows now.  It was entertaining for adults to watch too.

Quite political from time to time too, if I remember correctly!

Yeah, I remember Rocky and Bullwinkle as a child too! I really couldn't make heads or tails out of it (too young) but I sure do remember seeing it on tv!

Meryl:
I loved Rocky and Bullwinkle!  Thanks for the revisit, Janice.

Every time I hear Michelle Bachmann speak, I think Rocky is still alive.  ;D
