Anyone for Time Travel?
David In Indy:

"Lost in Austen" sounds great. :)

Yes! I'd love to visit with the framers of the Constitution too! It would be fascinating to stand there and watch them discuss it and then sign it. :)
Did you ever see the movie "Time After Time" Marie? Malcolm McDowell, Mary Steenburgen and David Warner star in it. It's a movie about a time machine. :)
Jeff Wrangler:
I picked Elizabethan England, Renaissance Italy, and Other, that being, say, the second half of the nineteenth century. That's far enough away, but you still start to have some modern conveniences, like indoor plumbing. ;D
David, I loved Time After Time. Haven't seen it in years. First thing I ever saw Mary Steenburgen in. :)
And then there is Somewhere in Time. Sigh. Young Christopher Reeve, young Jane Seymour, and Rachmaninoff's "Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini." ... Sigh.
louisev:
I picked other meaning "no time travel for me."
A few salient facts:
No dental anesthesia
No antibiotics
No indoor plumbing
No way.

Yes, "Time After Time" is wonderful, David. You've given me a great reminder - maybe I'll check it out of my library this weekend and watch it again!

And Mackinac Island and the Grand Hotel, too! A beautiful movie.

LOL. Well, I'd only time travel with the condition that they are short trips and I can come back whenever I'm ready!
