The shot he's talking about is not from the reunion camping trip, but from the scene on Brokeback when Ennis comes back to camp late because he encountered the bear. Can't find the pic now, but it's in the STS book and I've seen it posted here on BM too.

I think so, too--thought so when I read the commentary. And if it's the still shot I'm thinking of, I'm even thinking it might just have been a publicity photo taken when they filmed the "post-bear" scene. In the photo I'm thinking of, Jake/Jack and Ennis/Heath are laughing and smiling in such a way that just doesn't seem to me to fit with the rest of that scene--like maybe they started joking around after the scene was filmed, or something, and the publicity folks took a picture.

Still, it's a nice photo, and pleasant to think of it as a scene of Ennis and Jack actually having a good time together. Lord knows, we see little enough of that.  :-\

Nope. Since I live in Europe, I couldn't even play the US DVDs if I wanted to buy it, which I don't.

Yeah, I had the same thoughts. It looks like Jake and Heath joking around, not Jack and Ennis. It's really a cute picture (and I can't find it right now, wanted to insert it here  :-\).

Brown Eyes:
I just received my collector's edition DVD from Amazon this afternoon. ::)

I thought it would at least be fun to have that facsimile of the Coming Thru postcard...  All I have to say is that even those postcards they've included seem to be of poor quality.  The photographs don't seem to be printed very well and they're too big.  They don't really feal like postcards.
Annoying.

I haven't watched the DVDs yet so I can't comment on those at this point.

So uhm does this Collector's edition include commentary by Ang Lee and if yes, does he say anything interesting?

I haven't bought it yet Melissa, but from what I've been hearing, this "Collector's edition" is all about the postcards.  :P

Somehow this doesn't seem to  tickle my ass enough to run to Wal-mart and buy it.
