Welcome our new CT moderator - DavidinHartford!
David:
Thanks All Y'all!
I'm honored to get this title. I feel alittle guilty for being off line so much this week. But if you don't know this already, I now work in the AirTransportation field and busy being trained 10-11 hours a day.
Today with the Terrorist threat activity it has really put the entire organization into full action. Our job to keep our Passengers and commerce safe was never more important.
Keep the faith everyone!
David
Meryl:
I surely am glad you're on the job, David! And all your co-workers, too. You're needed now more than ever, it seems. :(
At any rate, I hope you're liking being caught in your new loop... ;D

Okay, I'm officially a moron *dope slaps self*. I started reading this topic, thinking, hey, this is great for David, but why does Connecticut need its own moderator?!! Duh!! Anyway, after I extracted my head from my butt and figured it out, it makes a lot more sense! I guess I'm still new enough here that I'm not up on all the acronyms! (Feebly tries to rationalize being a moron)
Seriously, congratulations, David. I always love reading your posts. (Except that my butt is sore from falling out of my chair so frequently with uncontrollable laughter!) I'm a little fuzzy on what a moderator's role is, but I'm sure you'll be great!
Laurel
David:
Good Morning Laurel!
<looks at watch> 4:56 AM, yup, it's morning, ugh! LOL.
The role of a moderator is to watch the threads for conflict or inappropriate posts. We do have some basic rules.
No frontal nudity in posted photographs. Yeah, that bums me out too, ha ha ha!
No excessive profanity.
No attacking eachothers threads. Example: If you don't like Fan fiction, don't go there and post negative stuff. Just don't go there, easy as that. What you don't read will not bother ya right?
We watch out for Trolls who sneek in (which is very rare) and post nasty or intentionally conflicting threads just to cause trouble.
Also, there are alot of Moderators so we can cover for eachother. We live in a global community, so our schedules can be varied. If you see something offensive or odd, there is a contact Moderator icon on each thread. Also, if a mod is online, his/her name is in blue on the list at the top or bottom of the page.
David :)

Hi, David!
Thanks for the explanation. I'm totally new to forums and such, so I am sort of figuring things out as I go. I appreciate your taking the time to make sense of some of this for me.
Laurel
