Four (now FOURTEEN!) Effin' Years! How will you celebrate?

<< < (14/53) > >>

Penthesilea:
Kerstin and my fifth anniversary was on Monday, 21st.

I'd like to be reflective and think about what changed over time. But right now I'm too excited that the Brokie meeting in Bochum this weekend is already on the way. Lynne flew all the way from Boston to Germany, Berit is on her way to Monika, who is sitting on packed suitcases at work, marking the last hours till take-off. Another Brokie (Uli) will celebrate her fifth anniversary with the group in Bochum on Saturday. Ten people will take the treck to Bochum this weekend, and more would have liked to join.

I think that says it all.

One more thing maybe: thank you to the people who brought the short story and movie into the world, and thank you to all my Brokies. :-*

Very well said, Chrissi - and what a fitting celebration - even though my anniversary was earlier this year - or back in October 2010 - because sometimes I like to count from the first time I read the short story.

I doubt any of us could have predicted the changes this film has brought into our lives - and the best part - the friendships!  Last week I was telling someone that I cannot imagine what my life would look like had I never run across the short story, then the film, then Phillip's post at IMdB...my life without this - without you all in it - is beyond anything I can fathom.

Happy Fifth Anniversary to all!  I'm so fortunate and grateful that I'm able to be here.

Ellemeno:
I had my 5th anniversary in October.  I count myself a Brokie from when I first stumbled upon the IMDb forum for it.  Very few of us had seen it - some lucky ones who had seen it in NY and LA, and somebody even in Venice.  I first saw the movie in real life on December 31st, 2005.

Happy anniversary Chrissi and Kerstin!

serious crayons:
There's Brokie anniversary, and then there's BetterMostian anniversary. They're related, but different, and for me are separated by more than three months.
