David In Indy:
Thanks for posting these Kerry! I really enjoy looking at them. And it gives me hope for the future. :)

Please don't stop! Checking this thread daily is one of my favorite things to do on Bettermost now. :D

Kerry:
I'm so glad you're enjoying this thread, David.  :-*

The next three pics are Gay & Lesbian Liaison Officers (GLLOs) with the New South Wales Police Force. GLLOs are police officers who have done special training in gay and lesbian issues, ranging from day-to-day domestic matters, right through to the real heavy stuff, such as homicides. GLLOs are not necessarily gay or lesbian themselves; though, there would appear to be quite a few lesbian GLLOs.

GLLOs are posted at police stations throughout New South Wales. They liaise with the gay community within their individual precincts which, in the case of Sydney, where I live, involves attending and marching in the annual Mardi Gras Parade. It's a tough job, but someone has to do it!  ;)

I find it very comforting to know there is a GLLO at my local police station. For example, should I have a dispute with a neighbour in my apartment building and said neighbour makes a homophobic remark about me, I could visit my local GLLO to seek their advice.
