Front-Ranger:
I'm stumped but I'll make a wild guess--the cost of the post card?

cmr107:
I know it's not the cost of the postcard.

I think I remember something on that newspaper ad Alma uses to cover up the postcard she finds costing 99 cents, but I can't think of what....

newyearsday:
Hi everyone! Wow, I went away like, two days ago from this game and now I come back and find all your great posts! I feel like my little baby is all grown up and out there on her own...I wish so much I could be there to watch her take each new step (and play a little with her/you all) but it's so cool to see it's kept on going without anything from me.

I can't think of the .99 cents one....It must be a visual? Give us a little hint, sparkle!

And as for the elusive "thirties" I am guessing it has to be mentioned in the scene where Lureen and Jack are about to make out--where the car is being driven and stopped, and the radio is still on. But I gotta check the DVD today to find out. (I'm scared to put on my DVD like that--for reference purposes only! It truely feels like something sacreligious, so maybe I'll let someone else do the honors.) There's a slew of other numbers we haven't touched on yet in the book.

Nyope.  But it is on a vehicle radio.  More hint - the radio announcer is talking about how the temperature's going to go down into the thirties tomorrow.  And it's right after the future got very sad and cold.

cmr107:
Is the 'thirties' when Jack is coming to see Ennis post-divorce?
