I've been watching the Curling events. For some reason that sport fascinates me.
They scoot this rock ( or rather this rounded piece of granite) down an alley of ice hoping to get it into the center of the "bullseye" or as close to it as possible. Knocking your opponents' rock out of place is also considered a good thing. In the meantime, they will sweep the ice with brushes in order to "steer" the granite rock into the desired position.
It is facsinating.
I remember watching this sport during the 2006 Winter Olympics. They don't have Curling events around here. I suppose it doesn't get cold enough and the ice never gets thick. But it is a popular sport in Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota. Also in Canada. According to Wikipedia, it was invented in Scotland many centuries ago.
Lots and lots of fun to watch!
Yesterday I watched the United States play Denmark, and today I watched Canada play Germany! :D
