Jack and Ennis were making whoopee in Tent Scene I and continued to do so throughout their relationship.

A modified verse of  "Makin' Whoopee" as applied to Ennis and Alma.

After 4 years
Or maybe less
What's this I hear?
Well, can't you guess?
She feels neglected
And he's suspected
Of Makin' Whoopee!
