New Season of Reality Shows: Survivor, Amazing Race, Etc...
Kelda:
okay - I'm going to keep posting on here since no-one is talking to me..
I see the new amazing race starts soon. I think I will be downloading each week.
I can't wait to get my laptop up and running on the net so I can use bit torrent!
The all star line up has 2 lots I know but c'mon do Rob aand Amber need to be in so many reality shows!?
How many is that now - 4 each 2 survior and 2 amazing race? I think thats a little unfair.
ANTM starts shortly again here - the season that i belive has just finished in the USA....
Was watching ugly Betty last night - only in its third epsiode here and Betty's little nephew was at a photo shoot and said:
"It's like Top Model - except there's no crying!"
Lumière:
I never really got into 'un-reality tv' shows that much .. :P
I saw about 2 episodes of the Amazing Race 2 years ago, they were good, but since I haven't seen the show since then, it mustn't have made a big impression.
I also saw an episode of America's Top Model once, there was a girl there who was a size 2 and she was told she was fat .. that an Tyra Banks is a wee bit irritating to me .. so I never went back. :P
And Survivor - I have tried but I really doesn't work for me either .. sorry for the soggy reviews guys. 8)
Maybe I'll like super nanny!! ;)
Kelda:
Yeah, I've never seen the US versions of survivor but the 2 seasons of survivior in the UK, just didn't take off and its been at least 4 years since the last one.
Super - meh! If I wanted to see screaming kida I would go rounfd and visit my nieces! :P
Lynne:
I'm with Milli on this - I have not been able to get into any of the reality TV - I've tried Survivor numerous times and various Idol versions. (A good friend frequently has them on when I'm over and woe to me if I call during one of them!) There's something about the whole trend that rubs me the wrong way - like they appeal to the lowest common denominator of humanity, or something (?). Then there's my suspicion that these shows are actually much cheaper to produce than shows requiring artistic talent ::).
OK - I'll take my elitist a$$ elsewhere now ;). Y'all enjoy!

I think that the 'reality' show craze really went too far when there were shows like: "Marry my dad" , "Fire me" (or something like that) and a hundred others like these .. I must admit, the last time "American Princess" came on a channel I was watching, I almost broke my TV .. lol, I shut it off so fast! So I guess that about sums up my reaction, really. :P
And like Lynne, I'll take my butt elsewhere now .. 8)
