Here's the last "appropriate for posting" pic I have of the SoG Ennis look-alike  :-*

I have three additional pics of this delightful dream-boat, but they are strictly for Jack's eyes only!!!  :P

Whew!!!

That picture makes me think of the "motel" scene just before Jack turns himself in to Mr. H.

*** SPOILERS***
"Shades of Grey"

Another favourite quote of mine from Chapter 12 (my italics):

“Jack…” Ennis spoke through gathering tears, heavy and thick in his throat—even without the possibility of a future together, the idea of it ending this way between them brought pain he could not bear. Jack responded to the ache in his voice automatically, his gaze coming up to land on Ennis’s, anger in a losing battle with compassion, one hand reaching out. Ennis marveled at his own selfishness, seeking comfort and reassurance from the person he had just wounded, taking for himself what Jack probably could not afford to give.

Reminded me of that old cliche, "You always hurt the one you love." Only difference here is that Amy has elevated it to high art.

Beautiful.

Hey Kerry, chapter 12 is my absolute favorite of the whole story, the intense confrontation was almost too much to read. Through all the anger and frustration, you could still feel the heartbreaking love they feel for eachother though, and that's the brilliant thing about the chapter.

I think it's great that you are taking your time reading this story, almost the way we did when we were waiting for a chapter each week and then hiding away somewhere to read it without anybody interrupting us. Once, when I was reading one of the chapters, I was so caught up in it, at first I did not hear my cell phone ringing, then I picked up and shouted "Can't talk now" and threw down the telephone.... hee hee hee this is what you do to us, Amy!
