Shasta542:
I saw him on Good Morning America. His momma loved him very much. That's what counts.    ;D

brokeplex:
so, you saw this dog on tv while he was still alive? was he friendly? did he wag that tail? I am really puzzled, he looks also like he is blind in one eye. how did the dog get in this condition, was it a birth defect?

Shasta542:
He was old. So he'd lost some teeth. That's why his tongue hangs out -- no teeth to hold it in.

If I'm not mistaken, he is a Chinese crested. Those dogs have tufts of hair on their head and tail and feet, but are mostly "skin". When young, some have the appearance of little ponies.

He was probably cute like that when young, but with age.....his looks deteriorated. Not sure about the eyes. Older dogs often get cataracts -- he may have those.

The one David posted -- not sure if that's the one I saw. It was just a couple of months ago. But it had won an ugly dog contest.

brokeplex:
poor thing! I did notice the tufts, that is why I wondered if he was just a bad special effect left over from the time before the CGI era dawned.
