She plays a violin teacher who teaches violin to inner city children. It's based on a true story. It's one of my favorite Meryl Streep movies... one of my favorite movies PERIOD! :D

Oh if you can find it Jess, please watch it. It is a WONDRFUL movie. Very uplifting and inspiring. Meryl Streep actually learned to play the violin in order to make that movie. She often does things like this. Before she starred in the movie River Wild, she learned white water rafting. She's such a fantastic actress. :)
If you can find Music of the Heart Jess, you will LOVE it!!

I don't think I've seen that one. She was brilliant in "Sophie's Choice" (I thought). What else has she done? I haven't seen any of the recent ones. I used to get her and Glenn Close mixed up a little. Glenn Close was in "The Big Chill" a movie I've seen many times because I love the house and the music and the idea of getting together with old friends, altho not the idea of sharing loved ones. :P :-\ :o

I'm having a party.........a party for two. Don't worry I am saying lyrics........I am listening to a cd that goes from so many eras that I can't keep up with you, it just jumped from a real old song to A Party of Two. I have some very mixed up CDs I have made.......lol

You've seen it Jack? I love it too! It's so inspiring. She ended up teaching thousands of kids the violin over the years. And I loved the very brief cameo of Joshua Bell at the end of the movie. I think he's so cute and he's an excellent violinist. :)
