Happy Thanksgiving David!

David In Indy:
Thank you Fiona and Chuck! Happy Thanksgiving to both of you too!

:-* :-*

Tonight begins the Christmas Season! Are you both ready for Christmas to start? Ready or not, here it comes!

Tomorrow they will be lighting the Christmas lights on Monument Circle in downtown Indy! We used to go downtown and see it in person when I was a kid. Now I watch it on tv. They televize the event now... :D

David In Indy:
Here's a picture of Monument Circle. The Soldiers and Sailors Monument is transformed into a giant "Christmas tree"...

--- Quote from: optom3 on November 22, 2009, 10:10:02 am --- :) Hi David, sorry long time, no visit so I am here to put that right. Very odd about the planes the other night, they used to do that In England when the airforce were training and it scared me every time.
Here when I first saw the police helicopters flying over I was convinced they were going to land on my roof. In fact it was only because they were so low I knew it was police. Now I am used to them and also the mosquito spraying planes. That and all the small private planes, that also seem to fly real low.
The first time the space shuttle landed, I thought a truck had ploughed into my house. I was sitting here on Bettermost actually and the whole house shook, every door and window, the noise was incredible. I ran to the front yard convinced I would see half my house demolished. That is well over a hundred miles away as well, so I cannot imagine what it must sound like closer too where it lands. I also cannot imagine what the thing is doing to the atmosphere, my poor dogs went berserk, and hid under every available sofa. I still don't like it and must have heard it 3 or 4 times now.
Hope you have a peaceful Sunday, and very glad the aliens did not get you.

When I lived in Fort Lauderdale we drove up to Melbourne one day to watch the shuttle launch. We couldn't see the rocket itself, but we could see the flame and fire! And we could hear it! It was fairly loud, even from 40 miles away. It was a night time launch and we watched it from the beach. 8) 8)

Well, the next time you fly over Indy in your flying saucer, you be sure to land it and come see me Jack! ;)
