The Royal Wedding of William and Kate - And What Came After
delalluvia:
I appreciate how William was extremely careful not to step on her dress on the way out of the Abbey. He stood a little in front of her and far enough to the side to be clear of the bell of her dress, but not so far that it looked strange, and he kept looking down to make sure he wasn't getting too close.

I can only imagine the horror that Katherine Parr was feeling when the King proposed to her as wife #6, knowing how poorly the first 5 turned out. She was smart to counter-propose to be his mistress instead; they rarely ended up with their heads chopped off:)

Best screen treatment of the topic ever. Keith Michell is the definitive screen Henry VIII.

I was disappointed with the dress. Isn't time we abandon this white 'princess' wedding dress business? I was hoping that she'd start a new trend by wearing something more colourful. It's a nice dress but not very original or daring.
Below is the wedding of the Prince and Princess of Montpensier (16th century) Her jacket comes off to show some bosom. I couldn't find a better shot. Not the happiest day for these two, lol!
