Unreflections
Penthesilea:
To cast the shoot, Hussey and his team found convincing dopplegangers 40 to 50 years younger than the subjects. Firemen, teachers, scientists and nurses confront their older selves in the mirror wearing retro uniforms and sporting rosy cheeks.
“We cast two people for each part — an older “Patient” and then another actor to look like the patient 40 years earlier in their lifetime. The images were all made on location in and around New York City. Each finished ad includes two images — one image showing the older patient in the environment, and a second image showing the reflection of the younger version of the patient. The two images were then combined during the post-production process."
“Reflections” channels the separation between body and mind. The results are realistic and poignant, capturing the perplexing relationship we have with our changing bodies over time.

But it´s strange that everyone looked like models in their youth
