Celebrating Six Months: What attracted you to this community...

... and now that we've been around for 6 months, what keeps you here?

My story's pretty simple:  I came here to escape the post-Oscar troll attack at IMDb-PT back in March, and I stay here for a couple of reasons:

1.)  I like the Board Administrator and the community and atmosphere he's made and maintains here.  A lot.  No matter what happens and who comes and goes (but please know I love you all dearly), as long as Phillip's running this board, here is where I'll call my main online home.

2.)  I never stop learning new and interesting things about this movie and about all the people who've come here because they love it at this place.

I joined the Yahoo board, after I first saw the movie back in March.....I didnt know message boards existed until I came onto that one accidently.....

I enjoyed my time on there and met some wonderful friends, but eventually the trolls became epidemic, and took the fun out of it.

I had heard a few other message boards mentioned, and I went into IMBD, and Dave Cullen, but when I found Bettermost, I knew this was where I felt comfortable and was made very welcome.

The administration and the moderator controlling is excellent, plus the variety of forums and things to do on here makes for a lot of fun.

I am amazed at the cleverness of Phillip, and his staff, and applaud them for a job well done.

Oh, and, because you people rescued me when I needed a life raft, entertained me when I was bored, laughed when I was goofy, educated me when I was ignorant, hugged me when I was down, gave me the opportunity and outlet to be a better me and made me crush on 2 young actors that I didn't give a hoot about a year ago-don't know if I'm happy about that one  ::)

1) IMDB trolls were really starting to tick me off ..

2) I had a few friends from PT and Imdb boards who were moving here ..

3) After a day hanging out here, it was so peaceful, friendly and I kept coming back for more ..
