Reminds me of Cold Case File's 'Forever Blue'  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0908196/  Very powerful love story involving two cops and with a tragic outcome ala 'Brokeback'. I can't wait to watch this German film.

I was looking forward to this film and it' so much better than I even thought.  I rented it on amazon and bought it right after.  It's got a lot of similarities to Brokeback -

Brad, I instantly went to Brokeback, but you're right, there are a lot of parallels to the Forever Blue episode. I had forgotten about that until you posted it.

Anyone who hasn't seen it should look for it online.

Free Fall, the new sophisticated gay drama from German director Stephan Lacant, takes more than a little inspiration from Brokeback Mountain, with a tale of forbidden love between male partners.

Free Fall has been doing well on the indie circuit, with screenings earlier this season at both the MoMA and Lincoln Center. It’s also won awards at TK, TK and the jury award for Best Feature at the Philadelphia Q Fest. Expect DVD and digital-download releases in 2014.

And I could look at Max Reimelt all day - and yes, he's straight - not that there's anything wrong with that  ;)
