We’re just a few weeks away from the premiere of HBO’s The Normal Heart, Ryan Murphy’s long-awaited film adaptation of Larry Kramer’s landmark Tony-award winning play.

Mark Ruffalo stars as Ned Weeks, a man who refuses to remain silent as he and his friends become stricken with this mysterious and, in many cases, fatal new illness. The film also features Matt Bomer, Taylor Kitsch, Jim Parsons and Julia Roberts.

Seriously, we can’t wait. The play made a tremendous impact when it first opened in 1985, and the film adaptation will likely do the same to a younger generation. (We’re already predicting an Emmy for Mr. Ruffalo.) HBO has begun rolling out promo ads, each featuring a different one of the film’s leading men.
