Hunh?  That's Jake, not me.

That I know. I didn't know which Paul she was talking about, you or Adrian Paul.

Hamnet probably wasn't a top-earner, and A Complete Unknown was from last year.

I loved A Complete Unknown but the Springsteen one this year wasn't as good. Although Jeremy Allen White did a great job of portraying Springsteen -- had the same moves, postures, etc.

I've started One Battle After Another, which everybody who's seen it loves but it wasn't huge at the box office. It's really complicated -- I had to give in and read the Wikipedia description of the plot in order to figure out what was going on.

OBAA apparently won best picture at the Critics Choice Awards last night. Best actors were TC for Marty Supreme and  Jessie Buckley as Anne Hathaway Shakespeare in Hamnet.

It's really complicated -- I had to give in and read the Wikipedia description of the plot in order to figure out what was going on.

I had to do that when I saw The Witch. It appeared when I read the article that Robert Eggers had filmed a lot more and then didn't use the footage. In my opinion that footage would have made some, or a lot of, things clearer, but my guess is that he thought it would be creepier if he didn't show what was going on. It left you wondering.
