Criterion Collection Question

(1/2) > >>

Front-Ranger:
Today on facebook, the Criterion Collection asked: If you could choose one film to be added to the collection, which would it be? C'mon everybody on facebook, let's storm them with the name of our favorite film!!

CellarDweller:
thanks Lee!

Howtoquityou1:
Maybe Focus Features is asking to much $$$ as I have written to Criterion without a response.  Either that or Focus Features wants to hold onto it.  ???
It's one of the most significant films Focus has ever produced. I haven't read anything about a ten year commerative DVD (with many extra features) being released.
The film made $44,000,000 in DVD sales a decade ago and I'm quite certain it would still be a moneymaker for Focus if they ever released a (worthy) commerative DVD.

Front-Ranger:
I'm planning to ask Diana Ossana this question when I'm in Tucson next month at the LOFT Film Festival. She hinted that there was a reason why there are few commemorative resissues.

CellarDweller:
I believe that at one event Diana did mention a Criterion release, but I can't recall when or where it took place.
